Private lessons

Asha teaches all beginning/intermediate levels of classical violin and viola, as well as beginning piano to children and adults. Her teaching style incorporates traditional classical technique with world styles and a focus on creativity through improvisation. Her specialty is teaching young children. She has been trained in the Suzuki method, the Dalcroze technique and Kindermusik.

Birthday parties

Asha is available for children's birthday parties in the Los Angeles area. Her fast-paced, interactive musical birthday parties are age-appropriate and run 45 minutes. She will arrive with kazoos, drums, shakers and instruments for the children. Be ready to play instruments, sing, clap, and move!

Here are a few guidelines for adults to keep in mind during the parties:

~ Parent participation is the key to success, especially for children 4 and
under! You can help your child enjoy our musical activities by joining in
the fun!

~ Please put toys and food away. Those little hands will be busy and it's
hard to sing along with a mouthful of food!

~ You will probably have lots to talk about with other parents and guests.
Please socialize before and after the show!

~ If a child is distracting the group or emotionally "carried away," lead
the child to another location until calmness is restored. Then lead the
child back to our circle of fun!

~ If we're outside, set a blanket in a shady spot to prevent us from
"melting!"

~ Photos and videos are welcome.

Prices are $200/party based on 15 or fewer children with a $10 charge per each additional child.
